New Haven: John DeStefano – Democratic candidate for governor – is honored to announce that the Democratic Town Committee (DTC) in East Windsor has endorsed his candidacy for governor and that he will receive the vast majority of Democratic delegates to the convention on May 20th. Members of the DTC made their decision after hearing both DeStefano and his Democratic opponent detail their visions for Connecticut.
“John DeStefano best understands the issues facing families in East Windsor,” said Jack Rajala, Delegate to the State Democratic convention, former Town Chair, and former East Windsor First Selectman. “Property taxes, public education, and jobs are things we’re concerned about and no candidate has a better track record on them than John. What’s also apparent is that John has the best chance to win in November.”

John visited the DTC Monday evening, with his wife Kathy- who is from East Windsor - and her mother Karoline Kubasek, who still lives there. “East Windsor has always been a special place for our family and I’m thrilled Democrats there are supporting my campaign for governor,” said DeStefano. “Town by town, my campaign is gaining critical support and momentum. People across Connecticut tell me they’re ready for leadership that will grow the economy, control property taxes, and improve public education.”The DeStefano campaign is winning support and delegates across Connecticut, including communities near East Windsor. This week DeStefano secured the majority of delegates in Windsor, Ellington, and East Hartford.
