John DeStefano puts on his reading glasses and settles into the passenger's seat of the sedan as it speeds up I-91. He pulls out his notes--typed and laminated, with three holes for a binder--from Joe Trippi's book The Revolution Will Not Be Televised: Democracy, the Internet, and the Overthrow of Everything and reviews them for his upcoming speech.

Trippi is the guy who used the internet to transform Howard Dean from obscure Vermont ex-governor into Democratic Party rock star. DeStefano is the guy who wants to be the Howard Dean of Connecticut.

Except Dean lost. DeStefano wants to win.
