DeStefano's message of fighting for working families is resonating with voters
New Haven - According to the latest Quinnipiac University Poll, John DeStefano - Democratic candidate for governor - has widened his lead among likely Democratic voters over his Democratic opponent.
The Q-Poll shows DeStefano gained 9 points and now enjoys a 20 point lead over Stamford Mayor Dannel Malloy. DeStefano leads Malloy 52-32, compared to 46-35 one month ago.
"It's clear John's message of fighting for working families is resonating with voters," said Derek Slap - Communications Director. "It's heartening that with less than three weeks to go to the Democratic primary, more and more working families are standing with John. Whether it's universal health care, indexing the minimum wage, or freezing property taxes for struggling seniors, it is clear voters understand there's only one candidate who will fight for them."
