DeStefano Campaign Tops 1 Million Dollar Mark for 3rd Quarter
Official Campaign Release October 10, 2006
New Haven: John DeStefano is announcing that for the third quarter of 2006 his campaign (including his running-mates) has raised $1,066,400 - the most any Democratic candidate for governor has ever raised in one quarter. The campaign is on track to hit its fundraising goal of at least $2.5 million for the general election.
"Reaching the $1 million mark is an incredible accomplishment," said Derek Slap - Communications Director for the campaign. "It speaks directly to the energy and momentum that John DeStefano and Mary Glassman are generating and it ensures that John and Mary will be able to get their message out from now through Election Day. Connecticut families want a competitive race and they're going to get one."
For the last filing period, which runs from July 26th - Sept. 30th, DeStefano and Glassman have raised $928,000 and have $307,000 cash on hand. In the previous 3 month reporting period (4/1-6/30) the DeStefano campaign raised $341,500.
